Third Sunday in Advent 2025

In these winter days in the northern hemisphere the darkness of the night is long. For many the darkness brings gloom and becomes tiresome. Most of us would prefer longer days and more sunshine. And yet, there are many ways we have found to brighten these dark days and to sustain us as we await the lengthening of the day and the return of the fullness of the sun’s light. Lesser lights, even colored lights, help us in this effort. Who doesn’t enjoy all the Christmas lighting! And the line is long and well worth the wait for taking in the Rotary Lights on display at Riverside Park.
