As we near the end of the Church Year, the Sunday Readings reflect Christ’s promise to return at the end of the age. This we confess in the Nicene Creed “And He will come again with glory to judge both the living and the dead, whose kingdom will have no end.” Drawing this present age to a close. Judging the nations, ensuring that right prevails in the end. And setting into full effect the consummation of His Kingdom with a new heaven and earth. All this, and more, belong to the fullness of the hope we have in Christ.
