Christ the King 2024

Friends in Christ, we come to the end of the Church Year. Next Sunday starts the cycle again, and in Year C the Gospel of Luke will be especially featured. We started this current Church Year with the Seasons of Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany, all celebrating Christ’s first advent or coming. He arrived the first time as a baby. Fittingly, we close the year anticipating Christ’s second coming as the King and Judge over all the earth. And gloriously this awaited coming is vividly pictured six centuries before His first coming in the Book of Daniel. I invite you to savor the image.
