Seventh Sunday After Pentecost 2025
Prayer does not always come naturally. Part of the reason for this is because in our pride we are often reluctant to ask for help. Leslie likes to quip, “Do you know why the Magi that traveled from the East to see the baby Jesus were called wise men?” She is elated to answer, “Because unlike most men they stopped and asked for directions!” Are we willing to call out for help, indeed cry out for assistance? That is a good part of prayer. I’ve also heard some explain to others who want to know how to pray that it is just like having a conversation with God like with anyone else.
