I trust you are familiar with the saying, “Two’s company, three’s a crowd?” That may hold true when two lovers wish to be left alone, as in “Well, I’ll leave you two lovebirds alone.” But this sentiment does not even remotely hold true in the relationship between the Three Persons of the Holy Trinity. They enjoy a permanent bond, unity, and joyful fellowship. But it may be more to the point that “Two’s company, three’s a crowd,” when it comes to our devotion to all Three Persons. And it is usually the Holy Spirit that is the odd one out in our devotion.
