Have you ever started putting something together without looking at the instructions and then got stuck in the attempt? It is usually at that point that we turn to them. And how often do we then wish we had started with the instructions! It might have saved us a lot of grief. When it comes to our lives it seems we have a propensity to build them in a similar manner. That is, we ignore the Creator’s instructions. Of course, I speak of the Word of God. And the Word of God is not only a reliable set of instructions for life, but the Word of God is a Person, the Second Person of the Trinity, the Lord Jesus Christ. When we put our trust in Him we receive forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life.
