2nd Sunday of Easter 2024
All our readings this morning reflect the corporate nature of our identity in the Risen Christ. This is especially important for us to hear as Americans where the importance of each individual has given rise to an excessive individualism. Many of us rightly reject socialism and collectivism, but there is a healthy corrective to too much individualism, and that is the importance of community. As disciples we confess that we believe “in the communion of saints.” The community is Christ’s Body, and each believer individually is joined as a member of His body.
