The Priesthood of All Believers
“The priesthood of all believers” is a term that is derived from our first lesson, Exodus 19:5-6... And importantly it has 1 Peter 2:9 in mind... What is meant by ‘priesthood’ needs a little unpacking but suffice it to say at the outset that the mission of our Lord and Savior of seeking after and saving the lost has been entrusted to all of us. All baptized believers in Christ are ministers. Being a Pastor is just one kind of minister. There are many kinds of ministers, all serving the Gospel of our Lord.
