The Best of Times, the Worst of Times

I remember back in High School in a English Literature Class we learned of the importance of a good first line to a story. And we were introduced to one of the best in Charles Dickens’ “Tale of Two Cities”. The memorable line goes, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.” Something like that is going on in our First Lesson...
