Jesus' Exultation on the Cross

It was meant as mockery. The placard with the inscription "This Is The King of the Jews" was part of the ridicule, as had been the putting on of purple robe by the soldiers. Again, the crown of thorns plaited on his brow was all meant to add further torment as Jesus was led out of the city to be elevated on the Cross. And yet even in this unlikely place for a king to be elevated people began to recognize that Jesus was indeed was the King. And one of the first to so recognize his kingship was a most unlikely person...
