First an Angel, Then the Shepherds

The Divine Gospel is first proclaimed by an angel to shepherds out in the field keeping watch over their sheep by night. Then shepherds repeat this divine message, the content of which is the advent of a Savior who takes away the sins of the world. The message continues to be proclaimed to the present day. And those especially tasked with this proclamation are called pastors, which interestingly is just another name for shepherds...
