With No Fear of the Judgment

What stands out to me in the Parable of the Wicked Tenants is the absolute failure on the part of the tenants to reckon with any future action on the part of the owner. There is no fear of a future day of severe judg- ment. They had confused his immediate absence and his patient and gracious attempts to win them over with leni- ency and weakness. And they were so wrong!
