19th Sunday After Pentecost 2025

Scripture speaks of praying without ceasing (1Th 5:17). What’s that like? Many a day, I am sad to admit, I am just glad to have remembered to pray at all! How about you? But as Jesus clearly indicates in our Gospel Reading, and as He visibly demonstrated in His own life, He expects His disciples to be continually in prayer. He is concerned that His followers do not loseheart in this. And the temptation to lose heart surely is a leading contributor to our inconsistency in praying. We ask ourselves, does God hear our prayers? And so, our Lord gives us a parable to help encourage us.
